Suzi Adams teaches political sociology and social theory at Monash University. Her PhD thesis provided a hermeneutical reconstruction of Castoriadis’ philosophical trajectory through the reactivation of the ancient Greek problematic of nomos and physis, on the one hand, whilst contextualizing his thought within the history of philosophy, on the other. Her dissertation was enriched by two research sojourns in the Castoriadis Archives, Paris. Her current research is threefold: it considers Castoriadis’ project of autonomy from the perspective of interculturality and post-transcendental phenomenology and develops a phenomenology of the world.
